Harlem teachers take it to the streets.

Illinois Federation of Teachers in Harlem, Illinois are on strike. Wages are the issue. 8,000 students will get an extended summer break. The last time Harlem teachers walked the line three years ago the strike lasted two weeks.
Harlem is just north of Rockford and just south of Beloit, Wisconsin.

The issue won’t go away.

Hundreds protest Debbie Almontaser’s firing. In spite of what Leo Casey says in his comments to my posting, My Mistake I didn’t bus them in from Chicago. They’re actually from New York.
