KIPP sneaks into Columbus, Ohio.
KIPP charter schools are attempting to sneak into Columbus, Ohio under the sponsorship of the politically conservative Fordham Foundation. The Columbus Education Association reports on their blog on the attempted conversion of a neighborhood school to a KIPP charter. The KIPP proposal was made at a Columbus board meeting. There has been no local media reporting on the controversial move reports the CEA. KIPP claims high test scores. They are known for high attrition rates.
