House of Barney, Hardin County school board lawyer.
Proposal
To: Barney Mundorf, St. Louis Attorney
From: Barney Cook, Striking Hardin County School Custodian
Barney I saw your picture on your law firm’s website. You take a nice picture. I am on strike and from my time on the Bargaining Team, I know you are always interested in “proposals.” Here is mine:
I am a life-long resident of Hardin County and I have an $8000 house in Rosiclare. You bought a $372,000 home in October 2006 just at about the time you started charging $162,000 plus in legal fees from the school district. I thought that since my tax dollars paid for half of your house, we could switch houses for the rest of the time we are on strike. Here is why it is a good idea. I am thinking that if you had a place to stay in Hardin County, you could bargain 24-7 to reach an agreement to get students back to school. Your house seems mighty fine and since you will stay at my place, you need someone to clean your house while you are in Hardin County. All the people at school tell
me I am an excellent custodian so I will keep your house clean at NO charge! If you are agreeable, you can experience Hardin County first hand and I can see where my tax dollars went.
Let’s Swap Houses!
Friends and neighbors, we ask you to call the Board of Education and demand bargaining 24-7 to end this strike and return students to class Sue Robinson, 273-5750 Shirley Kanady, 289-4381 Don Joyner, 289-3847, Jessica Daymon, 287-8041 Martha Lanham, . 289-4788 Jeremy Wallace, 264-5989, Skip Flynn, 289-5042 Ernie Fowler, 841-4657, Superintendent’s Office, 287-2411
