We saw Laura Nyro in a small club in the 90s here in Chicago a few months before she died. Just her at the piano. She was a great talent.
The WordPress thing: I’m constantly impressed at the lessons I learn from using the computer, the internet and blogging. Lessons about teaching and learning. They changed the dashboard totally. It doesn’t look anything like it looked before. You post Youtube videos using a different process than before. They provide no explanation. They just put it out there. So, when I was confronted with something new I kind of freaked out. But I wanted to know it. And then figured out myself how to do it. And figured it out relatively quickly. It’s not that I’m so effin smart. It’s a way we learn how to do stuff.
