CTU President Stewart and VP Dallas.

The leadership mess in the Chicago Teachers’ Union, an AFT affiliate, continues. This can’t be good news for the membership.

The Sun-Times reports:

The Chicago Teachers Union executive board Monday voted to try union vice president Ted Dallas on charges of lavish spending at high-end restaurants and on liquor, among other purported misdeeds.

After the first vote for a trial, originally scheduled for June 11, Dallas sued the union in Cook County court, claiming CTU President Marilyn Stewart was the big spender, wasting money on satellite radio and an Israeli vacation. The suit is ongoing.
