Old school. (Updated)

Eurythmics.

Updated: “unembedded by request?” This is the kind of thing that pisses me off. Who requested? It’s an effin link to Youtube! I’m not making money off of it. I’m not taking credit for it. I was going to find another Eurythmic’s video to replace it, but the hell with it.

Maybe I’m showing my age, but to me they don’t seem old enough to be old school.

Jesus NYC. You’re a teacher. Don’t you understand the concept of arbitrary rules? Sweet Dreams came out in 1983. My rule for “old school” is 25 years. I fudged a little when I did Terence Trent D’Arby, but that was because I knew my friend Poiman hates the record. I just did it to annoy him.

embedding’s disabled. And I got over the ‘old’ in old school for a song by the Clash. (forget what you chose, but it wasn’t The Guns of Brixton)

You’re absolutely right, and I should know better. I was sorely tempted to speak up when you posted Wishing Well, but it happens I like that tune better than this one. I remember buying that cassette tape, though I rarely listened to that sort of music. If I recall correctly, the follow-up was not good at all, but don’t hold me to that. I don’t always recall correctly.
