Graduate employees at U of I have had their demands met. Strike continues until membership vote.

I have just received word from Champaign-Urbana that the demands of the GEO (Graduate Employees Organization) have been met following two days of a strike. These demands include the return of tuition waivers for graduate employees.

Picketing will continue until a general membership meeting is held this evening to ratify the settlement.
