KC school boss. Broad sent him to close the schools. That’s what he’s gonna do.
February 15, 2010
John Covington, superintendent of the Kansas City, Missouri schools, is a 2008 graduate of the Broad Superintendent’s Academy. In 2009 he was appointed to his present job.
This week he delivered his plan to shutter 31 of Kansas City’s 60 public schools. Covington has given the school board and the community 10 days to decide.
“Folks, it’s going to hurt,” Covington told an overflow audience. “It’s going to be painful, but if we work together, we’re going to get through it.”

Idiots.
All running around pushing plans based on nothing that ever worked. All looking for an easy fix to break unions and destroy public schools. And a public that reads the nonsense in the op-ed pages, written by fatuous followers who know nothing, must turn to a blog like this one if it wishes to know better.
I wouldn’t believe it if it weren’t happening before my own eyes.
