Elgin Art teacher is pink-slipped. Blogs about it.

I posted a couple of weeks ago about Tom Bremer, Elgin Art teacher and blogger, who is being pink-slipped as a result of Illinois’ refusal to fund public education.

Today’s Daily Herald features a story on Tom and his blog, Leavenoteacherbehind

It’s not simply for teachers, or from his point of view. Bremer has extended an open invitation to “anyone who has a stake in this” to send him e-mails of their experiences.

“The more we can put a personal face on the issue, the more the public can become aware of what’s going on,” he said. He hopes he’ll get responses from people around the country.
