I could’ve sworn Tina recorded that without Ike. I thought it was a Phil Spector production or something. Would Ike have made a video and stuck himself inside it anyway?
Good catch. According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Deep_–_Mountain_High), Spector (who graduated from my high school) produced it and paid Ike to stay away on the condition Ike was credited on the recording. It was Spector’s first record with Turner.
Wow. That Ike was something else.
