The average Wisconsin teacher’s pay is going to soon be less, as their union seems to have agreed to the givebacks demanded by the governor. I question the wisdom of such public negotiations before the fact, but given that, the governor’s intractable positions appear even more indefensible. Krugman has a great column today:
