Saturday coffee

June 18, 2011

New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward today. “Katrina was the best think to happen to New Orleans’ schools,” said Arne Duncan a year ago.

I had some good strong coffee in New Orleans this morning.

Then we went over to the Juneteenth celebration in the Treme.

I remembered last year when Arne Duncan said, “The best thing to happen to the education system in New Orleans was Hurricane Katrina.”

No, no.

No early no strings endorsement for Obama at the Chicago RA.
