Chicago Rally to Save Troy Davis.

September 14, 2011

Friday 5:00pm at Prudential Plaza, Chicago, IL
**RALLY TO SAVE TROY DAVIS** Prudential Plaza (Barack Obama’s 2012 Reelection Headquarters) 130 East Randolph Street.

Troy Davis has received an execution date of September 21st. Troy has no appeals left, so his life lays in the hands of the Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles. We don’t have much time, but the fight is far from over.

Troy has already fought back three execution dates with the help of an outpouring of international support. His sister, Martina Corriea, has spearheaded the national and international efforts to save her brother and her efforts have slowed the gears from moving forward.

But now, the state or Georgia has set another execution date. Friday, September 16th is the national day of action to stop Troy’s execution. There will be events around the country. This time it is going to take all of our voices, all of our action, and everything we can muster to say NO to the death penalty, NO to the execution of Troy Davis, and NO to this modern-day lynching. The time to act is NOW!

I sincerely hope that celebrities rallied around the cause as that, seemingly, is what helped
the West Memphis 3 (especially Damien Echols, who was on Death Row).
