Leave it to the teacher union-hating Trib to misread the poll results.

A parent group called Raise Your Hands carried out a poll of Chicago parents. The issue: A longer CPS school day.
The results of the poll showed overwhelming support for the union position. Most parents support a longer day if it is planned well, not used for more testing and includes recess. And most parents oppose the 90 minutes. Many support a longer day, but much shorter than the one Mayor Emanuel is hyping.
But the Trib headline: “Survey finds most parents support longer CPS school day idea.”
The Colonel would be proud.

We have a subscription to the Tribulation but only use it for doggie “pee pee” papers.
I often subscribe to the Trib so that I can cancel my sub the next day in protest.
I would never give these partisan hacks a penny. I won’t even go to their website. They seem to get less objective every year. There are plenty of good objective news sites online as an alternative.
