Calmly discussing the pension bill in the Illinois General Assembly.
May 29, 2012
After moving the Democrat’s pension gutting bill out of the House Pension Committee on a 6 to 3 vote, it went to the House where it was debated in a calm and rational way until the House adjourned for the day late this afternoon. For those of you who live out of state, welcome to Illinois. H/T Tim Furman.

I love this. I wish more of the people in Springfield would come out and speak their minds on the cabal currently setting the rules of the game.
Take it easy, Host baby. When your guy “Pate” was in charge it was the EXACT same way. Not convinced? Check out how Pate protected his pension. http://preaprez.wordpress.com/2012/05/25/pols-rake-in-pension-payments-while-planning-teacher-benefit-cuts/ The problem isn’t Democrats and Republicans, it’s corporate special interests. What was your vote when the Legislature gave back millions to The Merc. and Sears earlier this year? You in favor of a progressive tax? Didn’t think so. Look no further than the man in the mirror.
