Cafe con leche de Sabado.

June 9, 2012

I didn’t want you to think I had retired from blogging. Just teaching.

This morning’s coffee was on the zocalo in the beautiful town of Oaxaca City in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Anne and I are here for a few days.

It was the home of a massive teacher rebellion a few years back and a place where the teachers still rally each May.

The internet is slow, but if I have a few minutes, I’ll be back.

Wife and I were there 15+ yrs. ago. A very beautiful area and city. We stayed at the Hotel Victoria. If you get a chance see the archaeological sites in the area, spectacular. A Spanish teacher friend said that the nights are like velvet and they were. Enjoy!

Thanks. Actually this is a return trip. We visited Monte Alban our last visit ten years ago. So we’re traveling to some of the neighboring towns this time. San Agustin Etla today. Teotitlan tomorrow. You and your Spanish teacher friend are right. It is a special place.
