Senate Bill 7, the “atomic bomb” on teacher rights, passes the House committee.

The bill that passed as Senate Bill 7 and which was described by the Chicago Teachers Union as an “atomic bomb” on teacher union rights, passed the House Elementary and Secondary Education Committee on a 24-0 vote today.

  1. I guess this means we’ll be seeing strike votes above 90% just like Chicago had. Wonder what will happen when CPS top management implodes after parents find out how they and their kids have been screwed by CPS on smaller class sizes and more charters and school closings. Think America will get the message? We are already seeing revolts against testing so go ahead, piss us off more. Everyone’s a mama grizzly when their kids are threatened, party affiliation notwithstanding.
