It is so sad that teachers and other union members have to rally to prevent the draconian cuts that have been threatened as the same APPOINTED CPS board considers spending even more money on more charter schools. Claypool has hired more administrative aides at a higher cost than BBB. CPS is spending money like crazy in order to NOT fund education. It is amazing.

    And thanks for the slide show since it was not covered very well in the local news (except for WTTW who did a fine job on Chicago Tonight). I meant to write about the lack of a contract but life got in the way on that one. Sorry. I will let other retirees know about your slide show. Thanks, Fred.

  2. It’s a total shame that teachers have to go through this just to get a contract. I feel the pain, but in NJ we are not allowed to strike. I support Chicago Teachers Union! Stand STRONG and UNITED!!!
