Random thoughts. Frank Wills and Wikileaks.

Frank Willis was the guard at the Watergate who alerted the police to the break-in.

I am writing this at a little past noon on the first day of the Democratic National Convention.

Democratic National Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has just been booed off the stage where she was speaking in front of the Florida delegation. From all reports, it wasn’t just Sanders’ people booing. It was Sanders and Clinton delegates.

Is Clinton really going to put this woman on national television tonight?

Nate Silver says if the election were held today, Trump would win.

Clinton is on track to give it all away. It will be an incredible accomplishment against Trump, who is polling zero among African  American voters in key industrial states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Clinton’s people are blaming the leaks on the Russians.

They say we shouldn’t call it leaking emails. We should call it stealing emails.

No. We should call it stealing an election. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC broke the rules and secretly supported Clinton over Sanders. When Sanders people said so, they were dismissed and called conspiracy theorists.

I am being told that the leaking of DNC emails was like the break-in at the Watergate by Nixon’s  Plumbers.

No, no. Nixon was trying to steal an election. So was the DNC.

Wikileaks is like Frank Wills.

Mr. Wills was the security guard at the Watergate who discovered the break-in and alerted the police.

You know who is scared this afternoon?

First are the Republicans who would not support Trump. Trump is a son-of-a-bitch and very unforgiving. If he wins this thing, they are screwed.

Scared as well are Clinton Democrats who are watching as she gives this thing away. As well they should be.

I ain’t afraid of no ghosts.

But I am shaking my head as Clinton and her apologists  as they double down on Schultz, making her honorary campaign Chair.

I’m sort of looking forward to her gaveling the convention open tonight. Trump’s speech was long and boring. It was hard to stay awake.

Schultz won’t have any trouble keeping me awake.

The whole world will be watching.

  1. This is frightening. I hope the Democratic convention can change many minds. I was a Sanders’ supporter but will vote for Hillary just because Trump would be terrible for this country.
    ***********************************************

    * NEW POLL SHOWS BIG BOUNCE FOR TRUMP: The new CNN poll findsthat Donald Trump now leads Hillary Clinton among registered voters nationally by 44-39 when Gary Johnson and Jill Stein are included, and by 48-45 without them. (A new Morning Consult poll also finds Trump up four.)

That last CNN finding would represent a ten point swing from the last CNN poll, which had Clinton up by 49-42. Stick to the averages, folks: They currently show Clinton still up, but by less than one point. Let’s see where they are after the Dem convention.

    * ANOTHER POLL SHOWS NO BOUNCE FOR TRUMP: In contrast to CNN, a new CBS poll finds zero bounce for Trump: The two are tied at 42-42 among registered voters nationally, with each gaining two points.

  2. Why on earth are you going to vote for Clinton knowing full well that she blatantly lied about the emails and deleted so many putting our national security at risk? Now surprise surprise…another incident involving emails! Furthermore, You’re voting for her after the Bengazi mess that took the lives of Americans. Fred, you are blindly following a party that is truly corrupt. For that you are a fool.

  3. Fred,

    The truth is usually boring.

Hildebeast cannot open her mouth without lying, it’s second nature. In fact it’s probably her first response to anything. As for the head of DNC, she and her minions on the DNC are Clinton plants.

      • Are you kidding? She just handed the primary to a highly disliked and distrusted neoliberal candidate over a wildly popular progressive one. I’d say that’s “heckuva job, Debbie”. Ms. Wasserman Schultz has well earned her highly paid vacation.

      • She did that? What a powerful person she must be. First, she’s just a minion. Now she single-handedly gave the primary election to Hillary. I think you need to pick one.

      • Okay, what’s the word for a high-ranking minion? The point is that DWS was only following orders, which she did very well. That does not, however, make her the root of the problem. The root of the problem is likely going to be officially coronated tonight.
