Alan Wieder in Chicago. Take it easy, but take it.

I reviewed Alan Wieder’s new book on Studs Terkel a few weeks back.

I received this note from Alan this morning:

Will be in Chicago talking about Studs Terkel: Politics, Culture, but Mostly Conversation beginning a week from next Tuesday, September 13, 6pm, at Hull House. Am thrilled to be joined by Kevin Coval, who generously wrote the foreword, Haki Madhubuti, who gifted me a poem he wrote on Studs that appears as the afterword, and anti-war activist Kathy Kelly, who Studs adored.

On Wednesday night, also 6pm, I’ll be at Bookends and Beginnings in Evanston. Finally, on Thursday 6pm I’ll be part of Bill Ayers’ program, Fresh Ayers, at 57st Bookstore.  Links for the talks are copied below.

Maybe one more reminder and then I won’t pester you again.  Hope you can come out.

If you live in the Chicago area, try to attend one of Alan’s events.

I’ll post his appearances in other cities as he travels around.

And get the book.
