What “Little Trump” doesn’t know about kindergarten teachers.

Donald Trump Jr.“Little Trump.” And Hillary admires the way Donald raised his kids?

I have to say that Michelle Obama nailed it in her speech about Trump yesterday.

Talking Points Memo reports that Trump junior said this about women in the workplace:

“I’m of that mindset — and I’ll get into trouble, I’m sure — I’ve been on this show enough, I’m sure I’ll get myself in trouble one of these days — but like, if you can’t handle some of the basic stuff that’s become a problem in the workforce today, like you don’t belong in the workforce. Like, you should go maybe teach kindergarten. I think it’s a respectable position.”

Listen, you little rich boy. You wouldn’t last a minute as a kindergarten teacher.

You live a life of wealth and entitlement. Everything you have has been handed to you without you having to lift a finger except nod your head when daddy talks.

I taught kindergarten children for 30 years.

I have worked with kindergarten teachers – men and women – for all of those years.

They are the toughest, most loving and gentle and strong people you will ever know.

Can’t handle basic stuff?

They teach basic stuff. They are the experts at basic stuff. They ARE basic stuff.

You know nothing, Little Trump.

  1. Compared to being a kindergartner teacher, my being a High School principal is a walk in the park. Kindergarten teachers get no breaks. They have to know everything and if you think organizing cats is tough try organizing and teaching 25 six year olds. Teaching the primary grades is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. It’s rewarding but it is a tremendous responsibility and terribly difficult work. This little man knows nothing.

    1. Well said….and thank you very much! I have taught kindergarten for 30 years. It is not an easy job! Sad he is so disrespectful!

  2. There are people who know very little about a subject but realize that they know very little about a subject. Those are the good ones. Then there are those who are so unfamiliar with a subject that they think they actually know very much about it. Kind of like being drunk. You think that you are in control when you actually aren’t.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the case with Kindergarten. Idiots think that all you need to teach Kindergarten is to know the material that is taught in Kindergarten. But when you are starting out not only trying to teach a child what the letter “B” is, bit trying to teach them what the word “letter” means, you have to know how to manipulate the basis building blocks of a human’s brain. This takes knowledge of a sophistication that most of us laypeople cannot even fathom.

  3. I teach kindergarten and first grade ESL. It is a tremendous responsibility to be in charge of the well being of little children. It is an honor to contribute to their intellectual development. Harassment is a characteristic of a hostile work environment, with which unfortunately I am familiar. No one should suffer from bullying and defamation of character. JR might benefit from spending a day in the real world.

    1. Unfortunately, since SB7, Illinois teachers are subject to ambush attacks of vicious, false evaluations to get rid of long term teachers, to then replace them with lower cost beginning teachers, and/or friends/relatives of high level administration and board members. Potential plans are in the works to make the teacher turnover rate so high that the new teachers will not qualify for a pension, they will leave before having enough years in to qualify. They can get a refund from TRS, and a portion of the interest their pension contributions earned, but no pension. This will increase drastically if Rauner succeeds in making the school districts take over the states future contributions to the TRS. No one should suffer from harassment, bullying, and defamation of character, but it is happening to teachers in Illinois now. I fear it will get worse and a teacher shortage will occur. Then under qualified TFAs will take over. The school districts don’t care about teachers (as long as they are low paid) let alone the quality of the education of the students. That will be the end of teaching in Illinois as we know it.

  4. Looks Like Trump continues to Tank.
Maybe he should have chosen Bill Cosby as his running mate?
Seems they have much in common and at least they would “agree” on certain behaviors and issues.

  5. First, I have never before responded to a blog when I know nothing about the persons credentials or background. I have to respond here in the affirmative. I am old enough to be a member of AARP. I have been married to one man for 50 years. To the point of this blog entry……I come from a long line of public school teachers and administrators. The same is true of my husband’s family, although neither of us chose teaching as a career. Teachers have the most difficult, challenging, rewarding and honorable job there is. Molding the minds of our youngest is so important and challenging. They put in multiple hours off the job and are, in my opinion underpaid. Saying anything demeaning about the profession is reprehensible. They say the apple does not fall far from the tree and Mr. Trump Jr. is proving that to be correct. He must have learned his disrespect of women and teaching at the feet of his father.

  6. And when “Little Trump’s” kids go to kindergarten and repeat what was heard at home from Dad and gets sent to the office by their teacher, “Little Trump” will most likely be the first one defending and enabling his kids’ right to say whatever he wants.
