“But Syria is a sovereign country,” Jen Psaki tweeted at the time. That is so 2017.

Joe Biden orders the bombing of Syria in order to reduce tensions?

While we’re waiting for a Covid relief package to come out of a Congress controlled by the President’s Party, we are already bombing Syria and we’re not even two months into this administration.

What is it about Democrats love for bombs?

When it was Trump bombing Syria, the current Biden spokeswoman Jen Psaki tweeted,“What is the legal authority for strikes? Assad is a brutal dictator. But Syria is a sovereign country.”

For the Biden administration, national sovereignty is an issue only when Trump does the bombing.

This time, Assad wasn’t the excuse.

The administration said the rockets were aimed at a small Shia group calling itself Saraya Awliya al-Dam.

This can only be seen as sending a message to somebody. But there apparently was a body count to this message.

The Biden administration says it plans to return to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal and back away from its predeccesor’s war-mongering approach.

Ironically, the administration has said the bombing of Syria is intended to de-escalate tensions in advance of returning to talks with Iran.

What am I missing here?

So, in the mean we are waiting for the Democrats to deliver a Covid relief package and vaccinations to become more available.

And $15 an hour minimum wage has been ruled out of order by the Senate parliamentarian.

We need to get our priorities straight.

  1. Is this an indication (& just one–of course, so many, thus far: the re-institution of the spring “standardized” tests–which even DeVos cancelled; the same players–& some REALLY bad picks–appointed to Cabinet positions, Biden’s refusal to cancel student loan debt & on & on–& we’re ONLY 38 days in) that we are returning to all the mistakes & lowlights of the Obama Administration?
Clearly–as during those midterms–the result will be that both houses of Congress will turn back to red.

WHO can talk some sense to Biden? The Veep?

  2. Biden is a prevaricating Corporate Dem who serves the Donor Class first.
    What will be the result?

Commentator High Valley at Common Dreams sums it up quite succinctly:

“Its going to be hard to work Get-Out-The-Vote for Democrats in 2022.

If you try to get a minimum wage voter to go vote, you’ll be told to your face about how the Democrats shafted them on raising the minimum wage.

If you try to get a better educated/higher wage worker to go vote, you’ll be told to your face about how the Democrats shafted them by ‘means testing’ the Stimulus Checks which cut them out.

If you try to get college educated voters to go vote, then you’ll be told to your face about how the Democrats shafted them on reducing student loan debt.

If you try to get anti-war voters to go vote, you’ll be told to your face about how Biden bombed Syria just after a month in office.

Working Get-Out-The-Vote for the Democrats isn’t going to be easy, and those willing to do it at better be ready to hear a lot of abuse from all the voters that Biden is shafting so quickly and so hard in these first 100 days.

Then, get ready for Senate Majority Leader Ted Cruz.”
