The doorman gives me a piece of his mind.

This is the fifth morning I’ve attended the state caucus meeting of the NEA RA.

I’ve been commuting from home. I valet my car at the hotel and I’ve gotten to know the doorman pretty well.

He says to me,”What the hell did you guys do yesterday?”

“What do you mean?”

“That Obama vote. Don’t you guys know? The Republicans hate unions and the Democrats take you for granted.”

“Where were you yesterday? I could have used you on the floor.”

“Oh no! You didn’t want me up there. I would of…” And his voice trailed off.

  1. I would be interested to read a post on what NEA would gain by not endorsing Obama. Who should be endorsed and when? It is clear that you were against the endorsement, but I don’t know what action you wanted in its place.
