Will The Speaker step down if Lisa is elected governor?

Will Madigan step down if his step-daughter is elected governor?
A long-time veteran of pension wars told me this story:

There is a story told of a millionaire businessman bested in a complicated financial scheme who is standing on the edge of a steep canyon ready to end his life. A voice from the darkness stops him.

It is an old squeaky voice. He turns to see an old hag dressed all in black, hair like cobwebs, large crooked nose complete with a mole at the end.

She asks him why he is prepared to jump?

He tells her of his failure and she laughs, telling that all can be made right. “You know who I am and what I am?  With a wave of a rat’s tail and a few words, those against you will be brought down and you will win!”

He asks what he has to do and she tells him.  An hour later he crawls out of the woods.  He clothing is torn. His body scratched and bruised. His very soul unclean. But he knows that he has won and that is all that matters.

The squeaky voice calls out, “Sonny, a question?”

“What?”

She says, “How old are you?”

“40,” he says.

She shakes her head, “40 years old and you still believe in witches!”

Lisa Madigan’s election is assured with the votes of all of those who like her and all of those that want her dad to go away.

But after she is sworn in Mike Madigan does not resign and instead is reelected Speaker.

A reporter asks him, “But you were suppose to quit.”

And Madigan turns to him and asks, “And how old you?”
