You want to cut my pension? I’m old, I’m cantankerous and I vote.

.

Who the hell do they think they’re picking on?

They want to cut Social Security, Medicare and the state pension we paid into our entire working lives.

In the 2012 election, check out which two age groups had the highest turnout:

  1. So now you decide to vote them out. Where have you been for the last 15-20 years when the pensions weren’t being funded? They buy your vote with a cushy pension deal much better than social security for the regular working guy and then don’t pay for 15 years and now you are mad and you want some of us to pay twice for the pension. I want them out to!!!

    1. Wrong Rob. I’ve been voting them out for 40 years. Nothing cushy about my pension. I pay into it twice the amount you pay into Social Security. I’ve lost nearly all the money that I paid into Social Security for 25 years before I became a teacher. I am not allowed to receive any spousal Social Security benefits from my wife if she should die. And unlike an employer in the private sector who would go to jail if they didn’t pay their share into Social Security, my employer owes my pension $100 billion in unfunded liability. AND now they’re voting to cut what was promised. Some cushy.
