    1. “Rahmonomics.” Sounds like the cost of dried Japanese noodles you add water to and microwave.

  1. Why does this piss me off? Help, I need Fred therapy!
“The State of Illinois gets more than 60 percent of its tax revenue from the general sales tax and the personal income tax. Selective sales taxes (tobacco and liquor taxes, motor fuel taxes, telecommunications taxes, etc.) are also significant and represent about 20 percent of tax revenue. Corporate income taxes account for about 5 percent of state tax revenue”

  2. I can’t wait to see what happens to Stewart School, sold to upscale developer Morningside, as CPS throws out the carefully honed community plan as a community center with affordable and market-rate housing and commercial business!

I hope the community’s plan for Dyett High School takes fruition as a school reopened with a curriculum focused on green technology and global leadership. Bronzeville’s only open enrollment high school with a local school council immediately, not three years from now.

If our legislators continue feigned deafness to the community, the 99% will rise up and make the French Revolutions look like Sunday school. Poverty NIMBYs will change their tunes when they become poor, too. It’s coming and almost everybody hurts and nobody hears.
