Bruce Rauner and his $53 million dollar Timex.

turbo

Separated at birth. Floyd Turbo and Bruce Rauner.

In his Floyd Turbo hunting outfit and his $18 dollar watch, Bruce Rauner is running for governor as if he were the working stiff down the block.

Not my block.

Bruce Rauner owns an 11,709 square foot mansion in Key Largo, Florida worth $6.9 million, a condo in Park City, Utah worth $1.75 million, two more properties in Clyde Park Town, Montana, two Chicago condos, a mansion in Winnetka and a penthouse in a landmark co-op building along New York’s Central Park, which property records show Rauner bought in 2005 for $10 million.

This week Rauner released his last three years of tax returns. He earned  $53 million 2012.

Millions of those dollars came from investing public pension fund dollars.

Now he calls for cutting public employee pensions.

He is running as a Republican, but he is a member of the Illinois Anti-Pension Party along with his Republican primary opponents. And Squeezy and Paul Vallas, and most members of the Illinois legislature.

We will see exactly how many next Tuesday.

  1. Maybe IL teacher retirees can have a new found career cleaning his properties? As a hunter he must have a few bird dogs that need cleaning up after?

    1. You should have saved more money while you were working rather than wasting your money on 72 inch flat screen TV’s and a second car and a place in woods to relax in for one week out of 52 per year.

  2. So here is the problem I currently have, I will not vote for Quinn is there any republican that I could vote for that is not out to kill pensions?

  3. “Bruce Almighty” wants to be the next Emperor of Illinois. He does not want to GOVERN Illinois, he wants to RULE Illinois!!!!!!!!!

  4. And you know there will be people that think he is “a common man” that “knows” business who will turn this state around. Instead of seeing him as the parasite he is, looking for another host organism (the state of Ill.) to suck dry!
