  1. WOW!

The Gov. signs SB1, an Unconstitutional bill/law, but not this Unconstitutional bill. An change of heart or does the shifting of the burden to property tax bother him?

  2. Just wondering if he signs it will there be a court challenge and or stay like the state. If i’m correct I believe the Park District reform is already law and has been implemented.

    1. Whether there is a challenge or a stay is up to the unions and those who represent those employees impacted by the bill. The Park District employees were represented by those who negotiated the sell out. So they did not challenge it. But if the courts find in favor of the five suits that have been filed against SB1, it is difficult to see how this would not apply to those cases as well.

  3. Squeezy is planning to do nothing. By failing to act, he allows the bill to become law, but will be able tell the senior citizens he didn’t sign it.

Some will be gullable enough to fall for it. Besides, Squeezy is not a Republican.

    1. I understand that you think it is all settled and there is no point in contacting the Governor. I believe people should contact Quinn and tell him to veto the bill. You, of course, may be right and he will do nothing.
