Meeting and greeting the next Chicago mayor.

Our family was proud to host a meet and greet for Miguel Del Valle on Sunday afternoon. A large turn-out of friends and neighbors filled the place. People opened their check books and asked challenging questions ranging from the issue of closing neighborhood schools (he’s against it), to the militarization of city high schools (he’s against that too), to the present battle in Springfield over teachers’ right to strike (unlike the present mayor, he supports our right to strike).

  1. Salutations, this Jesse Turner from Connecticut just wanted to say we certainly need elected officials who understand closing neighborhoods schools does nothing to improve neighborhoods. Let Miguel Del Valle know he is welcome to the SOS March/Teach-in at the American University if he wants to come east in July.
    Thanks for sharing.
