“The rich have their own photographers.” Milton Rogovin. RIP.

A few years ago when Anne and I were visiting our family in New York, we spent an afternoon at the New York Historical Society slowly taking in the photographs of the great working class photographer, Milton Rogovin.

The particular photos on display were from his own Buffalo neighborhood of steelworkers and immigrants.

There is not much art that has touched me more.

Milton died today at 101 years of age.

My condolences to his son, Mark and daughters, Ellen and Paula and the family.
