Class war.

Was this some kind of king’s X thing?

Promises were made. But promises don’t seem to count for much anymore.

While desperate Democrats are hailing Obama’s alleged tough Rose Garden talk yesterday, I’m going, “What the hell?”

I think I have mentioned that I retire from teaching in June.

Yes. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it.

A year later I will turn 65 years old.

By the way, 10,000 people in the U.S. now turn 65 every day.

10,000. Every day.

The promise that was made by the state of Illinois to teachers and our pension? That promise is being reconsidered as we speak.

The promise of single payer health care through Medicare? President Obama is proposing over 300 billion dollars in cuts.

He says that’s to balance his proposal to increase the tax rate on billionaires from the present 15%.

That’s balanced?

John Boehner calls Obama’s proposal class war.

Not yet. But I’m ready for one.
