The in box. State Rep. Dan Biss’ forum on state pensions tonight.

North suburban Democratic State Representative Dan Biss is holding a community forum on state pensions tonight.

Frankly, Biss is no friend of state employees on this matter. But he has invited Ralph Martire, Executive Director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability. Martire calls for revenue enhancement and restructuring pension debt as the means of resolving pension issues.

Biss has also invited Laurence Msall, President of the Civic Federation.  Msall and the Civic Committee think you can solve the $100 billion pension crisis by cutting benefits.

Tell Biss what you think.

Greetings!I wanted to send a quick email to remind you about our third community forum to be held next Thursday evening, September 20th at 7pm, located at Wagner Farm. This month we will discuss the state’s budget situation with two extraordinary guests: Ralph Martire, Executive Director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability and Laurence Msall, President of the Civic Federation.

WHAT: Illinois’ Budget Challenges: How Did We Get Here and Where Do We Go?
WHEN: Thursday, September 20, 7pm
