Senator Julie Morrison called late this afternoon to announce that a timely meeting for the purpose of presenting information about the State of Illinois Medicare Advantage Plans has been scheduled in our area. Both Central Management Services (CMS) and United Healthcare will participate.
The meeting is a week from tomorrow in Buffalo Grove (please see below). Please help to get the word out to all retirees. Information will be going to the media, but the best way to alert people is for each of us to spread the word.
Senator Morrison’s office and Representative Drury’s office have worked very hard to make this meeting available to retirees. PLEASE DO YOUR PART TO CONTACT PEOPLE!!!!

It’s good that more meetings are finally being scheduled in the “Northern” part of the state! However, with the enrollment period beginning November 12, I have NOT YET received one single booklet outlining this program nor describing the benefits for each insurance plan. How do I make an “informed” decision with no materials to read and study?
I cannot go to the Saturday meeting because I am volunteering from 9-2 PM at the British Home. Take good notes! Sounds like Kay may be interested in the Saturday meeting I will go with you on Wednesday., Nov.13.
