Breaking. The dirt in Karen Lewis’ closet.

lewsiAnne said to me, “One advantage that Karen Lewis has over Rahm is that there are no skeletons in her closet. No back room deals in Springfield or La Salle Street. I mean she was a chemistry teacher at Lane Tech and a local union president. Clean as a whistle.”

“Ha,” I laughed. “They’re all crooked. You watch. Something will come out.

And this morning, the intrepid investigative team at the Chicago Sun-Times uncovered the sordid details of Karen Lewis’ secret life.

She owns a time-share!

In fact, she has two time-shares.

In friggin’ Hawaii.

I mean, how many people get to go to Hawaii?

Nine million in 2012.

But still.

And she went in with her sister to buy a place in Union Pier, Michigan in 1961.

Damn. You know what that place must be worth today?

Actually, that was a pretty smart move. A place in Union Pier in ’61 went for nothing.

The truth is Anne and I have been vacationing in Union Pier for over 40 years. If we were smart we would have done what Karen did and bought something back in the day. We could have bought it for pennies. Seriously.

It’s nice.

Union Pier is not exactly Palm Beach. But it’s close in and it has a nice beach.

In fact, I wonder if Karen will let Anne and me use it for a weekend? We will pay, of course.

What this has to do with anything is a mystery.

But if the Sun-Times investigative journalists are for angling for a Pulitzer for uncovering Karen Lewis’ two time-shares, I’m guessing they will have to wait a little longer.

Go out on the street and actually investigate. This is Chicago for God’s sake.

And get off of Google.

  1. Question…are her properties in the Island World…time share or does she own them??? One article states purchased prices????

      1. Greed? What? A time-share? And who says, “caucasian”? I gotta say, this comment makes no sense.
