Kyle Olson’s vision of a different America.

Not part of Kyle Olson’s vision of American history.

Kyle Olson, the guy behind the Education Action Group and pinch hitter for the diseased deceased liar Andrew Brietbart has a very narrow vision of American history.

Like a restricted country club, his America only allows a few members to join, based on the color of their skin or their religion.

A recent posting on his blog tells the story.

The Connecticut Senate is considering a bill which would require all government school students to learn “labor history” as a part of the curriculum.  The bill would add language to existing law which stipulates the types of subjects schools shall teach.

Currently, the law requires students to learn information about these histories:

  • Holocaust and genocide education and awareness;
  • the historical events surrounding the Great Famine in Ireland;
  • African-American history;
  • Puerto Rican history;
  • Native American history

Strangely, “American” history is missing from the list.  But if the Connecticut Democrats get their way, students will be learning more about the virtues of Jimmy Hoffa than of George Washington; of Andy Stern than of Abraham Lincoln.

Olson, who last warned of the pro-union indoctrination of the children’s book Click, Clack, Moo, Cows that Type, now argues that the history of working people, Native American history, Puerto Rican history, African American history, the history of genocide and immigration are not a part of American history.
