I wanted to vote for peace. But it wasn’t on the ballot.

Okay. I voted for the kids.

I voted for education.

I voted against a Tea Party backed candidate for governor.

I voted against Mark Kirk. I really don’t like Mark Kirk.

I voted for Luis. I always vote for Luis. He’s not great. But he’s a good voice for immigrant rights and there’s not too many of those voices these days.

I voted Green for the state legislature.

But I wanted to vote to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I kept touching the next button on the screen, hoping to find the page where I could vote to bring the troops home.

But after a dozen pages of judges I never heard of, there was no more next.

They wouldn’t let me vote for peace.

What kind of an election is this?
